New leadership, team members add depth to agency’s branding power
Hudson, Ohio – AKHIA, one of the fastest growing strategic marketing firms in Northeast Ohio, has bolstered its creative department, hiring a longtime industry veteran as well as five new creative team members.
Joining AKHIA as creative director is Chris Jackson (CJ), with more than 30 years experience in creative roles, including 16 years as Creative Director at JWT/Action (Malone) Advertising. CJ will manage AKHIA’s growing, eight-person Creative team, leading strategic efforts for all clients. “We are extremely fortunate to have CJ join AKHIA during such an exciting time. She is respected and revered in our industry and allows us to provide companies with a truly integrated and balanced strategy,” said AKHIA Executive Vice President Ben Brugler. “We have grown by demonstrating that we will do whatever it takes to learn our clients’ business, applying that to a fully integrated voice and vision. We look forward to the impact I know CJ will have on our approach,” he said.
Nick Pfahler, joining AKHIA as Senior Art Director. Previously, Nick served as Art Director at JWT/Action. At AKHIA, his creative talents are dedicated primarily to Matco, Simon Roofing, PPG and Quanex Building Products. Nick is a graduate of the University of Akron.
Linda Fantone, joining AKHIA as an Art Director. Previously Linda was Art Director with Liggett –Stashower. Linda serves as the creative lead on Lubrizol’s Building and Construction group. She holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in visual communication design from the University of Dayton and is an active member of AIGA.
Matt Rumer, joining AKHIA as Art Director. Previously, Matt was Art Director at JWTAction and Creative Supervisor/Web Designer for Electronic Merchant Systems. Matt will focus on digital and print efforts for Lubrizol LifeScience, Diebold and GE Appliances, Matt is a graduate of the University of Akron.
Isabelle Jones, joining AKHIA as Copywriter and Concept Developer. Previously a freelance writer for Liggett-Stashower and The Tannery, Isabelle’s work will touch all agency accounts. She holds a degree in Marketing and Literacy from Kent State University.
Brianna Kelly, who joins AKHIA as Designer. Brianna previously held positions with Tait Towers, LLC and Weaver Companies. She holds a degree in Visual Communication Design from Kent State University.

Niki Forner has been promoted from Designer to Associate Art Director. She joined AKHIA in 2009 and has been a key design contributor on numerous agency accounts including Smithers-Oasis, KSU Library and GE Appliances.
