As a former freelance blogger, I am very excited to have the opportunity to contribute to the Microbrew this spring during my internship at AKHIA.

To let you know a little bit about me—I am joining AKHIA as a senior at Baldwin Wallace University where I study public relations and marketing. During my four years at BW, I had the chance to intern for three companies in the Cleveland area, helping me to understand the difference between non-profit, corporate and agency environments. Through my internship experiences, I fell in love with the fast-paced world of agencies. That love is what led me to seek out my internship at AKHIA.

My first couple of weeks at AKHIA have been fantastic as I have slowly gotten to know the different faces and personalities around the office. Good moods are definitely contagious here, and I catch myself smiling at little things, such as company-wide emails and daily chatter. I can already tell I am going to have a blast spending my semester here!

But between all of the fun, it is easy to see how passionate everyone is in their work. In my first week as an intern, I was able to hit the ground running working on a variety of projects, both big and small. As a student graduating in May, I appreciate receiving challenging projects that give me real-world experience and a higher level of responsibility.

With my passion for writing and storytelling, blogging for the Microbrew is sure to be one of my favorite projects during my time here. I am eager to share the tips and tricks I pick up at AKHIA, along with my observations of agency life and professional development. I hope you enjoy following me on my journey!
